Frequently Asked Questions
1. General
What can I expect on my first visit? Are REVIV IV therapies and booster shots safe? Can anybody receive IV therapy?
IV therapy is ideal for everyone and best used regularly to replenish and maintain hydration and vitamin levels.
Regular supplementation helps our bodies function more optimally, regardless if you feel sick or not. Whether it’s aiding in recovery following common ailments or fighting the signs of ageing with Glutathione, our IVs are focused on different goals and desired results.
Some people, on the other hand, may be advised additional diagnostic testing or monitoring before opting for an IV therapy. We take pride in our professionalism and your safety is our priority.
Do I require blood tests prior to IV therapy?
We do not make any medical diagnoses and our therapies are not intended to treat any medical condition. Our therapies are designed to restore balance to your body and help you maintain wellness. Not to mention, all our vitamins and minerals are water soluble, thereby eliminating the need of a blood test.
Some people, on the other hand, may be advised blood tests in the case of underlying medical conditions. We take pride in our professionalism and your safety is our priority.
Does IV therapy hurt?
There may be a slight pinch or discomfort when the needle is inserted, but the procedure is generally well-tolerated. Most patients find the experience comfortable and relaxing.
Are there any side effects of IV therapy?
Possible side effects include mild pain at the injection site, a metallic taste in the mouth, lightheadedness, or a cool sensation during the infusion. Serious side effects are rare but can include allergic reactions or vein inflammation.
Do I need a prescription for IV therapy?
In many cases, a prescription is not required for basic IV hydration therapy. However, more complex treatments, especially those involving medications, may require a prescription from a healthcare provider.
Can I receive IV therapy at home?
Many services offer mobile IV therapy that can be administered in the comfort of your home by a licensed healthcare professional.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Given the current situation, we highly recommend booking a prior appointment. On other days, we do accommodate walk-ins but at times our locations can get very busy. We encourage you to make an appointment if your plans are set.
2. IV Therapies
What is the advantage of getting vitamins via IV therapy?
When drinking water, energy drinks or taking oral vitamins, they all pass through your digestive tract and you only absorb about 50% of their benefits. IV therapies, on the contrary, employ the infusion of vitamins, nutrients, fluids, electrolytes and antioxidants such as Glutathione, directly into the bloodstream, at a 99.8% absorption rate.
To achieve the same concentration as intravenous or intramuscular supplementation, you would need to consume more vitamins and minerals orally and more regularly. And ingestion of large amounts of vitamins can cause discomfort in your stomach, and in certain cases, the absorption can be severely limited, resulting in deficiencies.
How long do the therapies take?
Our IV therapies can take as little as 20 minutes for a Vitaglow®️ and 40 minutes for a Hydromax®️, Ultraviv®️ or Megaboost®️. Our Royal Flush®️ total body purification IV typically takes about an hour.
How quickly will I feel the effects?
While a few patients experience peak energy levels and a mood boost immediately after the treatment, the effects develop fully over 24 hours.
How long will the effects last?
Majority of our customers report that they ‘feel’ significantly better for up to 7 days following an IV infusion whilst customers opting for vitamin injections experience a positive benefit from a single therapy for up to 72 hours.
However, the effects may vary depending on the choice of infusion and can be impacted by multiple physiological elements.
Which is the best therapy for me?
When you arrive at the clinic, you will be given a wellness consultation. We will obtain in-depth knowledge of your requirements by understanding everything from your food and lifestyle choices to your medical history. Following that, our medical personnel will provide you with a thorough explanation on the therapies to help you decide on the most suitable service.
Our IVs fall into two categories, wellness IVs for maintenance and recovery IVs for recuperation. Most of our patients receive wellness IVs on a weekly regimen.
How often should I get IV therapy?
While you can take up to 3 IV infusion therapies per week, the average number of sessions depends on the requirement of the client and differs from individual to individual, based on their lifestyle, nutrition and underlying medical conditions if any.
We recommend 4-12 weeks of IV therapy.
3. Booster Shots
What is the advantage of getting vitamins via intramuscular shots?
Delivering vitamins via injection means you get 100% absorption of these essential elements. When drinking water, energy drinks or taking oral vitamins, they all pass through your digestive tract and you only absorb about 50% of their benefits.
To achieve the same concentration as intramuscular or intravenous supplementation, you would need to consume more vitamins and minerals orally and more regularly. And ingestion of large amounts of vitamins can cause discomfort in your stomach, and in certain cases, the absorption can be severely limited, resulting in deficiencies.
How long does a booster shot take?
Our booster shots typically take a few seconds to administer.
How long will the effects last?
Majority of our customers report that they experienced a positive benefit from a single booster for up to 72 hours whilst they feel significantly better for up to 7 days following an IV infusion.
However, the effects may vary depending on the choice of infusion and can be impacted by multiple physiological elements.
How often should I get a booster shot?
Most of our patients receive booster shots once or twice per week for up to 12 weeks. However, the average number of sessions depends on the requirement of the client and differs from individual to individual based on their lifestyle, nutrition and underlying medical conditions, if any.
We recommend vitamin injections for a period of 4 – 12 weeks.
Can I get more than one booster shot at the same time?
Yes, our booster shots only contain water soluble vitamins. The effects of these different shots can be synergistic and any excess will be excreted naturally by the body.
Can I get an IV therapy and a booster shot at the same time?
Yes, and this is the ideal recommendation. IV nutrients and hydration are very effective at rapidly restoring deficits and helping the body in regaining its balance. Booster shots then act as a reservoir for continuous release of nutrients, essentially prolonging the effects.
